Rosanna is the owner of Advantage Speech Pathology Services and has been working as a Speech-Language Pathologist for over 29 years, providing services to preschool and school-aged children with a keen interest in motor speech.
Rosanna Sim is Hanen trained in "It Takes Two to Talk" and "More Than Words" and in Lidcombe fluency therapy. Rosanna has also been a guest speaker at Brock University in the Early Childhood Education program. She has been using PROMPT therapy (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets) since 2006 and is currently 1 of 6 Certified PROMPT Instructors in Canada providing education, consultation and instruction of the PROMPT technique in workshops and study groups for Speech-Language Pathologists across the US and Canada. In November of 2018, she was the recipient of the 2018 Women in Business award through Celebrate Niagara and a 2022 WIBA Health Care Hero finalist. Rosanna maintains a faculty appointment as an Assistant Clinical Professor (Adjunct) in the School of Rehabilitation Science at McMaster University.
Rosanna graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 1994 with an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology/Linguistics Specialization and then completed her Masters of Science degree in Speech Pathology at the State University of New York, College at Fredonia in 1996.
Rosanna is a registered member of the College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists of Ontario (CASLPO), a certified member of Hanen, and a member of Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC). She has also completed CPR/AED/First Aid training.
In her spare time, Rosanna loves to travel, ski, bike ride and spend time with her family.
