With over 10 years of dedicated experience in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP), Leanne has accumulated extensive expertise in school-based services, preschool programs, and children's treatment centers across Ontario. Her particular interests lie in early intervention, articulation and phonology, motor speech, fluency, augmentative and alternative (AAC) strategies, and expressive/receptive language. Leanne believes in tailoring therapy sessions to each child's interests, ensuring engagement and effective communication in various settings. Collaboration with families is central to her practice, facilitating personalized interventions that meet the unique needs of both the child and the family. Committed to ongoing professional development, Leanne has pursued extensive training including DIR Floortime, It Takes Two to Talk - Hanen Program, Lidcombe Program, More Than Words - Hanen Program, and additional courses in social communication development, literacy, and AAC practices. These advancements enable her to deliver evidence-based care at the forefront of the field. Outside of work, Leanne loves spending time outdoors hiking with her family and tending to her garden. She also enjoys creative hobbies like making jewelry and painting.
